Muhammadsharif Gulhani (XVIII-XIX century)

He was born in Namangan. He wrote his novels in Turkish and Persian languages. The novel “Zarbulmasal” was written by Umarhan`s order. There is a lot of information about him in the novels “Majmuai shoiron” by Fazliy, “Tuhvatu ahbob” by Vozeh, “Tarihi jahonnoma” by Avazmuhammad Attor.

“Kalila and Dimna” and eastern traditions of classical poetry were continued in “Zarbulmasal”. This novel was published several times. These manuscripts are kept at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
